This course is designed for veterinarians with little to no previous experience with honey bees.

Under regulations set forth by the World Health Organization, antimicrobial use in agriculture is now controlled through veterinarian prescription. This workshop is designed to familiarize veterinarians with the basics of beekeeping in Ontario, pests and diseases that affect honey bees, which diseases require antimicrobial treatments, the timing of treatments, as well as other information pertaining to the maintenance of honey bee health.
